SATURDAY LEAGUE (a.k.a. ‘the Church league* and a.k.a. ‘the stats league**)

Who: individuals and/or groups of individuals or teams

What: a basketball league with 60-minutes of stop time (a 90 minute experience) complete with statistics

When: Saturdays starting September 11th with game times typically running at 2:30pm, 4:00pm, 5:30pm and 7:00pm.

Where: games will be played at the Pearl Courts at 1625 NW Pettygrove in Northwest Portland

Why: uniforms are provided at each game, there will be 60-minutes of stop time play (a 90-minute event), the league will keep stats but the best part- is that this is a ‘week by week’ commitment so you can sign up to play on the Saturdays you are available.

How to ‘grab your spot’ each week: this is a ‘week by week commitment’ that costs $10 per player per game; meaning- you can sign up every week or you sign up just one time. You can sign up by yourself or sign up with a few friends. Register by putting your credit card or debit card in our system and after that one registration with us, simply submit your name on the ‘Pick to Play’ page… and we will see you at the next Saturday game!

* The Saturday league is called the ‘church league’ as there is a few minutes of prayer prior to the game- focused on family, fidelity, and sportsmanship (the prayer is super safe and relevant for any denomination or any religion; in fact, the prayer is probably relevant to any human that wants to put a few minutes focus on family, fidelity and sportsmanship).

** The Saturday league is also called the ‘stats league’ as the league keeps player statistics- as seen below from last year- and in fact, this year, the stats will include some fun categories such as ‘rebound leader per height’ and ‘win ratio’.

Note about subbing: playing time is divided by a maximum of eight players per team and the league uses an equal subbing pattern (by #) managed by the game supervisor (everyone plays equal minutes and remember- this is sixty minute stopped time game- so everyone gets a solid workout).
